Tips & Best Practices for Navigating Your Courses

  •  Create your yoga routine by choosing a specified time each day for your practice such as some practice in the morning, afternoon and evening.
  • You will have access to all of the content for 30 days. We recommend reviewing it all in order but you have the option to skip around
  • Equipment such as a yoga mat, bolster, strap, towel, and blocks may be purchased at your local retailer
  • If accessing the course from your smartphone or tablet, you may wish to mirror the videos to your TV for easier viewing
  • Keep a journal each day of your thoughts, insights and writing prompts 
  • If possible, find a spot in your home where you can leave your yoga mat rolled out. This is a helpful reminder to take time for your practice each day
  • Watch videos multiple times to retain information and jot down any questions or insights that arise
  • Bookmark the Ripple Yoga site page for easy access
  • Mark each lesson, practice, activity and quiz page as complete to signal the badges to appear. 
  • All courses you’re enrolled in, badges, quizzes and course points will be visible on the My Account page within the Ripple Yoga menu
  • Take what you are learning and practicing to your local yoga community or studio if you wish

 

Please be mindful of any limitations you might currently be experiencing. Avoid any technique that causes sharp pain, over-exertion or unease. Contact your health care professional for guidance if necessary.

How to Navigate and Complete Your RY Course

We’ve set the course up for you to navigate through all the lessons, practices and activities at your own pace. You may skip around but we encourage you to explore it all so you don’t miss out on anything.  There is so much to discover in the study and practice of yoga and we are just beginning our journey together in this Foundation One course.

Logistically, you may be wondering how to best navigate your course. We’ve outlined some common questions here as well as a snapshot of some tips and best practices

Common Questions

Q: How will I know when my course is about to expire?

A: You will receive an email via WordPress, our site platform, five days before your course is set to expire as well as the day before

Q: What triggers the earning of the badges and where do they all appear?

A: You earn a “Knowledge Drop” (badge) each time you click the Mark Complete button. These badges appear on you My Account page. You may access this page via the dropdown menu on the top of the site page as well as on the homepage


Q: Why is it important to mark all pages complete?

A: Each time you mark a lesson, practice and activity complete, you will receive a Knowledge Drop that will appear in your Account under your achievements. All pages MUST be marked complete and the quiz taken prior to the course expiration. This will ensure that the course itself is considered complete and you are ready for the next course

Q: Is there material that supplements the course content?

A: Yes. Throughout the duration of your course, you’ll be receiving emails that discuss the various topics featured. This will help expand your knowledge base as well as enhance your own experience of yoga through thought exercises and stories. We recommend keeping a dedicated email folder to stay organized as you may refer to these after your course expires. There will be helpful links out to other sources as well to help supplement your learning.

Q: What do I do if I forgot my account password?

A: On the login page simply click the lost password button. Enter your registered email address and you will promptly receive an email from WordPress with a link to reset your password

Q: What happens to my badges after my course expires?

A: Your badges will remain after your current course expires and when you enroll into your next course

Q: After my course expires, may I purchase the same course again before moving onto the next course? 

A: Yes, you may purchase the same course multiple times. If you have officially marked all steps complete and received an 80% or higher on your quiz, you may begin the next course.

Q: What do I do if I’m having technical issues or have any questions?

A: Please reach out to us via the Support tab if you are having any issues or wish to contact us. We usually respond within 24-48 hours.

Q: Can I take the quiz multiple times?

A: Yes. The quiz may be taken several times. Also, be sure to click the View Questions button for further explanation of the correct answers to each question. You may wish to submit your quiz results to the Leaderboard which may be accessed via the account dropdown menu

 

Q: How come I cannot view the content in upcoming courses when I’m logged in?

A: Due to a technical glitch, if you have not completed your course, when you’re logged in, it will not show the content listed in the courses that follow. You can log out of your account to view all the courses and content listed as well as review the sample lessons.
