Kim reflects on the first yoga class she took at a local gym. She initially wanted to try it out, thinking it would be a good stretch to complement the other exercises that she was doing. She quickly learned that there was a lot more to it. Moving the body mindfully with the breath made her feel more grounded and at ease overall but she just couldn’t figure out why.
